The Three Musketeers

Pastel on pastel card. Commissioned by John Goate for his wife, Helen.

The Three Musketeers are Ed, Charlie and Mac. In Helen's words:

'Ed is the elegant, aristocratic Labrador who is loyal to the nth degree. Charlie, the Collie X, is the smart one of the family and Mac, the mad Cocker, a little short on brains but the most loving dog on the planet. A great trio. What a wonderful advert for rescue dogs!'

It was a pleasure to meet these three characters. Trying to get them to pose together on the outdoor furniture was a challenge ...but we got there in the end.
